Is there a better way to indulge in the summer of love than with a spring in your step?! What an allegorical way of stating the magnanimity of sensuous summers! Tarun Tahiliani’s stellar new SS’16 collection reveals clothes that transform into a breathtaking aria of fantasy and romance. Combining wispy delicacy with dramatic flair, the imaginatively avant-garde designer fashioned a lovingly handcrafted collection. Inspired by the nomadic beauty of the Kutch desert tribes, the collection is a bohemian rhapsody of sorts.
The ethereal ramp, with floating abundant yarns, was raised at the DLF Emporio in the most luxurious Spring Summer show – creating a saga of eternal romance. Reflecting Fitoor’s ardent passion, the main leads and showstoppers Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor sashayed down the ramp in stunningly embellished white ensembles. While Katrina looked delicate, Aaditya looked dapper in a subtle monotone white bandgala – “Half your play is done when you’re well dressed”, enunciated the spruce actor.
Have a look at the collection that has a luminous choice of colors which include renditions of cobalt blue, ravishing red, marshmallow pink and sunny yellow. The palette gradually shifts to subtle pastels of white and ivory before exploding into a dramatic easel that celebrates the onset of spring. The fuss-free fabric wit inventive embellishments, digital prints and sensual draping reflects on the clever mix of couture and craftsmanship. ‘This season, we have conceptualised and developed the light-weight crinkle fabric, which falls like a dream and doesn’t crush. It is summer appropriate, vibrant and can be styled to be very dressy,’ says Tahiliani.
On DLF Emporio’s association with Tarun Tahiliani, Dinaz Madhukar, Senior Vice President, DLF Emporio says, “Tarun Tahiliani is an undisputed pioneer in India’s fashion industry and that makes him the perfect partner for DLF Emporio which holds the distinction of being India’s first and finest luxury destination.
